This document defines the general and specific requirements for the rental of equipment from a private-sector company (the “Lessor”) on behalf of the Department of National Defence (DND), represented by a designated civilian employee or member of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), Transportation Company, Technical Services, Valcartier Support Base, 2nd Canadian Division. The contractor shall provide two (2) 45-ton lowbed trailers, without driver, meeting at minimum the following specifications: Deck length between 30 and 35 feet with lowbed platform Hydraulic gooseneck Three (3) axles Capacity: 35 to 45 tons Beacon light for oversized loads Wide load signage (width and length) Approximate usage: 10,000 km per month.
