The National Research Council of Canada (NRC) is conducting research on the performance and durability of pipeline materials exposed to blends of natural gas and hydrogen. To support this work, NRC is establishing a full-scale pipe testing facility capable of controlled cyclic pressure testing under various gas compositions and operating conditions. NRC requires the supply, installation, integration, and commissioning of a Gas Compression and Recovery System (GCRS) to support cyclic pressure testing of pipelines ranging from 2 to 20 inches in diameter (Device Under Test – DUT). Pipe samples will be placed inside an NRC-provided Pressure Testing Chamber (PTC), which serves as the facility’s primary safety system and is designed to contain and safely vent gas in the event of a pipe failure. The chamber will be pressurized with an inert gas (e.g., nitrogen) to eliminate oxygen and reduce fire risk. Preparation and handling of pipe samples are outside the scope of this requirement. All deliverables estimated to be received on or before 46 weeks after contract award. Solicitation of Offer Submission Eligibility. This solicitation of offers is subject to the Policy on Reciprocal Procurement. This means that only Canadian Suppliers and Suppliers of an Applicable Trading Partner, are eligible for this solicitation of offers. Offers submitted by Suppliers of a Non-Trading Partner will be rejected.
